Welcome
Leighton Buzzard Art Society was founded 60 years ago and is still thriving with a membership of about 100. Full membership is open to any person over the age of 16 who is interested in art, practising or not, amateur or professional. Guests are welcome at all meetings on payment of an entry fee.

Our society’s core activity is centred on our monthly meetings which always feature a demonstration or talk by a professional artist. Our aim is to cover all areas of interest and different media, oils, watercolour, acrylics, pencil etc.

Meetings take place at 8pm on the third Thursday of each month, from September to June inclusive.

Our other activities include:

  • Saturday workshops held at Linslade Community Hall (St Barnabas Hall)
  • Exhibitions
  • Stalls at local events

We are very grateful to Leighton-Linslade Arts Forum for their financial support to help develop this web site.

Venue
Meetings are currently held at Leighton Buzzard Day Centre situated between Westlands Old Peoples Home and the town car park at the end of Duncombe Drive which has free evening parking. The demonstration is projected on a large screen and a sound system ensures that everyone can hear. The room is spacious and comfortable and free tea and coffee are served in the interval. We have our own library of art centred DVDs, videos and books which members can borrow for a small fee.
