Membership
Our membership year runs from January.
The annual fee for 2024 will be £30
For 2024 the fee structure is changing. LBAS has had a successful couple of years and in view of that and the cost of living crisis, the cost of membership has been reduced for now.
The annual subscription Jan 2024 – Dec 2024 is reduced to £30 plus other household members may join for £15. So effectively couples membership is now £45 , but other members living at the same address also only pay £15. members must live at the same address to qualify
Non-member guests at meetings are asked to pay ,£6 for regular meetings , although we will occasionally charge more to help cover the costs of a more expensive demonstrator. Please check the information against each meeting in Diary Pages/Meetings. If you join as a member haveing paid a visitor fee that month it is deducted from the membership fee.
Membership entitles you to a range of benefits:
- Free access to monthly demonstrations or general meetings – these have increased to 11 annually (previously 9)
- Twice Monthly Email Newsletter
- Option to enter our monthly competitions – A theme is set each month and images sent in. The membership then votes by email for its favourites.
- Option to join free of charge Our Zoom Art Together Days – held monthly, we work at home but share our work, joys and frustrations!
- Option to join our WhatsApp Social group – share work, ideas, information and a few jokes
- Option to join plein air and other events (may be small additional charge) – announced ahead of time on Facebook, Newsletter and on Events Calendar
- The right to exhibit/sell at our exhibitions
- Option to have a gallery of your work on our Facebook Page
- Option to have your work on our website
- Option to join our Sketchbook Penpal Scheme
- Access to our Subsidised workshops
- Access to our free monthly life drawing group
- Option to join various other meet ups such as out Coffee and Critique sessions or Art History Meet Ups
